Logging In

Users of pulver.Communicator log into application using the same User Name and Password necessary for logging into a Free World Dialup account.

When starting pulver.Communicator users must configure their login information to the application.  Once the login information has been entered, however, users can easily set the system to automatically login at each proceeding start-up and to enable hot logins.

Register a new Communicator Account

Establishing a new FWD account for use with pulver.Communicator is easy, and it can be done from within the application. 

At initial start-up pulver.Communicator automatically displays the Login dialog, which offers one-click access to the registration process via a Get new account button. 

The registration process can also be entered by invoking the File|New Account... command.

Note:   Current pulver.Communicator users wishing to open additional accounts must log out of the application to access the registration process.

Next, the FWD account application form will display.

  1. Enter all pertinent information into the FWD account application fields.
Account name
The preferred name for the account;  serves as the login ID for the account, and once established cannot be changed;
First name
The registrant's given name.
Last name
The registrant's surname name.
Country
The registrant's country of residence.
E-mail address
A valid email address for the registrant;  the email address to which all FWD/pulver.Communicator account information will be sent.
Enter Password
An alphanumeric password for the account.
Re-enter Password
Confirmation of the alphanumeric password for the account entered in the Enter Password field.
  1. Review the Terms and Conditions for pulver.Communicator, and once having done so indicate agreement by ticking the provided checkbox.

  2. Click Signup.  The screen will immediately display a message confirming the creation of your FWD/pulver.Communicator account.  The message also directs you to complete activation of the FWD/pulver.Communicator account using information sent via email to your indicated email address.

  1. Open the confirmation email and follow the instructions therein to complete your FWD/pulver.Communicator registration.

  1. Open pulver.Communicator.  The Login dialog will display.
Note:   If pulver.Communicator has already been configured for Auto Login (refer to Setting Up Auto Login), the Login dialog not display and the user will instead be immediately logged into the application.

  1. Enter your Free World Dialup Account name and your Password into the My Account fields, as appropriate.

  2. Tick the Remember my Password checkbox to enable automatic login (refer to Setting Up Auto Login) or a hot login (refer to Using Hot Login/Logout Commands).

Note:   To enable automatic login you must also tick the Auto login checkbox.
  1. Click Login to initiate login.

pulver.Communicator can be set up to automatically login at start-up, once the user directs the application to remember their password.

  1. Open pulver.Communicator.  The Login dialog will display.

  2. Enter your Free World Dialup Account name and your Password into the My Account fields, as appropriate.

  3. Tick the Remember my Password checkbox and the Auto login checkbox.

  1. Click Login to login to pulver.Communicator.

Using Hot Login/Logout Commands

Once pulver.Communicator has been directed to remember a user's Password (refer to Setting Up Auto Login) that user can login and logout of pulver.Communicator with a single click, via the application's Toolbar.

  

Note:  Login and Logout can also be executed via File Menu commands (refer to Menus Explained: File Menu).

Login with a Different Account

Because many users of Free World Dialup have more than one account, and to address scenarios in which two or more FWD subscribers share a single computer, pulver.Communicator offers a means for logging into the application using different Free World Dialup accounts.

The procedure offered below assumes a scenario in which the user is already logged into pulver.Communicator.

  1. Logout of pulver.Communicator, but do NOT close the application.
    • Click the Logout button on the pulver.Communicator Toolbar.

  • Invoke the File|Logout command.

  1. Invoke the File|Login... command.

The Login dialog will display.

  1. Enter the Free World Dialup Account name and password for the account that is to be accessed into the My Account fields, as appropriate.
Note:  Tick the Remember my Password checkbox if you want to enable automatic login (refer to Setting Up Auto Login) or hot login capability (refer to Using Hot Login/Logout Commands) for the account being accessed.
  1. Click Login to initiate login.
